“At the beginning of the new year, and as a 32-year-old young professional, I decided I wanted to feel fiercely confident in the clothes I was choosing to put on my body for both work and play. I felt that I had decent wardrobe options, but wanted a fresh set of eyes to evaluate my closet, analyze the style and fit of my current wardrobe, and help me put together looks I would never have come up with on my own.
Marisa did just that. She helped me assess my fall/winter wardrobe for style and fit, and determine what to do with different articles of clothing: keep, keep but tailor, and “retire” as she so graciously worded getting rid of clothes that didn’t work for me…
After our wardrobe analysis and outfit creation Marisa emailed me a detailed list of “holes” in my closet, pieces that she would recommend for me, and even specific stores and style names she thought would work best for my body and lifestyle.
Based on her suggestions we mapped out a plan for our 3 hour shopping trip, which focused on a mix of wear to work and casual options. I cannot overemphasize how much I learned during this trip about how and where to shop, and the details to pay attention to in terms of the way clothing should fit and flatter my body. I especially appreciated the time and support Marisa provided as we took a deep dive into the designer denim as Saks. I’m obsessed with all of my new jeans!..
