My new thing on my must have radar can be found at nearly every store and is a year round basic. Silk dress button ups are the perfect clothing basic! Beautiful by themselves, they can be worn casually untucked with a skinny/straight denim, or tucked into your favorite dress pant or pencil skirt for work. Gorgeous and comfortable under you winter sweaters and blazers, or a casual dress up to shorts in the summer. If it is your first silk dress blouse, I would suggest purchasing a timeless solid color, but if you already have a basic one in your wardrobe try a neutral colored animal print! Make sure and match a cami underneath to prevent clinging, and you have a new everyday basic that you will love for years to come.

–As a random side note, in my third grade picture I am wearing one of these babies! While it was NOT in a timeless color (a horrible turquoise) I have to give the leg up on this blog to my mom who purchased me one back in ’93!
