So in the long list of fashion items I really want, but do not write down because it would be sad and depressing how many things I pine for, I never thought my newest item would EVER appear on my list. I hate ponchos, always have, always will……right? This fall I cannot believe I am going to say it, but I really want one! The perfect thing for fall, I have seen these babies running all around on the fashion pages and up and down Newbury Street. So why the sudden change of heart? The poncho, year 2011, is a fabulous basic! They are cut beautifully (make sure to have them nicely fitted in the shoulder and look for one that tapers towards the waist…a skinny belt is also a nice detail), in rich colors (get one is a camel brown or black, try to avoid crazy prints!), and are the perfect accessories to a skinny/straight leg jeans, boots, and a fitted longsleeve undershirt (such as a fitted thin long sleeve cotton shirt, turtleneck or collared shirt). I still can’t quite believe I am writing this, however I am happy to be so I while researching a picture for you all, I get to shop for one at the same time!
