I’ll make this short and sweet. Last week, I was in New York City for work. I blocked out time in my schedule to make a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit, and I’m so glad I did. This exhibit is breath-taking and worth waiting 45 minutes in line (yeah, 45 minutes on a Thursday morning, go figure). Obviously, the clothing was amazing. Seeing it up close is a different experience and really demonstrates what a true artist Alexander McQueen was. The way the garments are displayed is so theatrical and the music setting the mood is so eerie. Everything about it is perfect. I couldn’t resist sneaking pictures on my phone, even though it was technically not allowed. If you’re in the city before August 7th, this exhibit is a must-see. Avoid going on a weekend because I heard the wait in line can be up to 5 hours! – Katie
