While browsing the spring trends section of New York Times magazine, one in particular caught my eye. They proclaimed that “jean on jean” was making a come back. Maybe I am too young to remember or have worn this fad but I am a little skeptical. I’m all for a great pair of jeans and the right color shade of blue blouse (it’s hard to choose might I add) but a jean shirt or jacket on top of you jeans? Somehow that sounds tacky to me. I foresee the shades of jean clashing in many cases. They gave lots of cute options but I could seem to settle on the outfits. I personally think it would take a lot of effort to pull off but if done right could look cute. Maybe I need practice!! So, help me decide, spring trend: jean on jean?
Another returning trend New York Magazine mentions which I am overjoyed about is the 70’s. I am crazy about the modern Boho looks that are out this year! Though I am not a fan of the bell-bottom jean, I do love the peasant top! It’s exotic pattern, airy fabrics, warm colors and flattering necklines look great on every size and shape!! My favorite are the eye-lit tunics and comfortable brightly patterned skirts! Many designers are “mix n’ matching” with different patterns which is fun and fresh! So don’t be afraid if every color in your outfit is matchy, matchy! Have with your wardrobe!
