Many of our clients are stumped when it comes to accessories or have ignored them all together. As stylists, we understand that an accessory – whether it be a bag, scarf, belt or piece of jewelry can add the finishing touch to any outfit.
My go-to place for accessories when shopping with clients is Anthropology. The accessories are always interesting and fashionable and there is usually a good selection of affordable options.
One can load up on necklaces, earrings and bangles most for between $25 and $100 a piece. Scarves in interesting hues, luxurious fabrics and eye-catching prints usually cost between
$35 and $65. And belts for both the waist and the hips can be snagged for $24 – $45. And – if you are lucky – you can stumble across an accessories sale.
Anthropologie not up your alley you say?? While I readily admit that Anthropologie does have a very distinct urban-hippie vibe that is not for everyone, if you give the accessories a chance – more often than not – they can stand on their own just as well in any kind of look.
