Could someone help me understand this new trend that is going around?!?!
Recently I have seen people of all ages wearing some funny hats with animals on them. Not just with printed animals but 3D animal heads!! (ears, nose, and bright colors included) At first I thought it was just a quirky joke but as I was browsing some of my go to blogs, a writer for the New York Magazine’s “The Cut” touched on the awful fad calling them “ManRepellers”. I think she nailed it and I would like to pass on her wisdom.
I loved the animal print trend that breezed through in the Fall but I think some designers, such as Anna Sui have taken it too far this winter. Please do not fall victim to this trend. I don’t care if you have a fetish with sheep or dinosaurs (Yes I have seen dinosaurs.), you should probably put them on your son or daughter. I have no objection to that, in fact, I think it would be adorable!! But if you want to be taken seriously by anyone in the real world (for example, in the dating world…), leave the 3D furry animal hat for a special occasion or wear it around your friends you understand your humor.
