I am in Saks Fifth Avenue almost every weekend shopping with clients. Over the last 4-6 weeks, as they have tranistioned from their Winter merchandise to their Spring merchandise, I have
noticed some new arrivals to their selection and I am very excited about them!
Stella McCartney
Paul McCartney’s daughter makes beautiful and wearable designs on the cutting edge of fashion. Her Spring florals (pictured above) and chain-trimmed vegan bags are spicing up the front display windows, the
Classic Collections department and the Designer Handbag department. Hopefully her shoes follow suit shortly…
Celine
Phoebe Philo has made Celine relevant again and Saks couldn’t ignore it any longer. Check out her simple, yet oh-so-cool designs in pale whites, creams and earth tones accentuated by bright pops of coral and done in a mix of fabrics including everything from linen to leather.
Adam Lippes
Saks has only picked up a few basics from this up-and-coming designer. However, if the khaki pants and dresses, short-sleeved leather jackets and perfect-for-summer striped tees sell well,
we can look forward to seeing more from Lippes.
Poleci
Designed in LA by a pair of sisters, Poleci is known for its luxurious fabrics and architectural lines. Located in Saks’ WEAR department, the price points are a bit more manageable, but the style
is still high-end.
