Even though – for the moment – I am currently living in the one of the fashion capitals of the world, I am still an avid reader of the Budget Fashionista. Recently, I was reading her article about great finds for little black lace dresses, when I realized that it wasn’t the black dresses, that I was attracted to, but it was the lace idea. Clearly I am a fan, because the first two items I bought in Paris were a white vintage lace dress and a grayish-blue beaded lace dress. (AND both were on sale… marked down from 50€, I only paid 15€ for each!! The budget-Fashionista in me flexed her muscles once again…)
So, I guess I have two messages.
1: Great clothes do not have to break the bank.
AND
2: Lace dresses – of all colors – are in!!
Whether you need a classy banquet dress or a comfortable dress for a lunch date, lace can work! And on top of that, these dresses are also easy to accessorize!
I like to wear my off-white vintage lace dress with a pair of thick black tights, black ballet flats, and a heavy black cardigan now that it’s cold in Paris. But, when I went out for a girlfriend’s birthday the other night, I wore a velvet boyfriend blazer and a pair of heels.
I have seen short lace dresses, knee-length lace dresses, long-sleeve lace dresses, and even strapless lace dresses! So, I guarantee that you can find one that will look nice at any occasion. And, the best part is that you can be sexy or sweet, casual or dressy!
And P.S. You don’t have to break the bank! That great find does exist, you just have to look! Even expensive boutiques often have great sales…
