I first saw this adorable combination during the summer when the Vogue Fall 2010 lookbook came out. Since then I have seen it on the streets and on the metro in Paris quite a number of times! But, when I saw the perfect chiffon and leather outfit on one of the mannequins at Mango, I knew that the readers of the Stilista blog needed to hear about this one.
This classy but sassy look can be worn a number of ways. I have seen black chiffon dresses paired with a black leather jacket and ballet flats. I have seen white chiffon shirts with camel-colored leather jackets. But, my favorite was the display at Mango: a black chiffon blouse – which had a subtle bow at the collar – tucked into a pair of boot cut blue jeans, and paired with a perfectly-fitted black leather jacket.
In order to create this look yourself, incorporate as many earth tones and as much camel as possible, select slim-fit leather jackets and keep the embellishments and hardware to a minimum. Finally, wear this combination of hard and soft with the confidence of a Parisian woman and you will be ready to catch everyone’s eye!
