A lot of people I know have been hesitant to give oxfords a try, but they are one of my favorite shoes of the summer and they will transition easily into the fall. I wear mine with everything from summery dresses and tailored shorts to skinny jeans.

The trick to making this traditional men's shoe look right on a women is creating a juxtaposition of the masculine and feminine. For example, if I am wearing my oxfords with a black, fitted, ankle pant and a button-up shirt, I make sure to pile on the jewelry. Selecting feminine prints such as florals when one dons a dress or a skirt is another great way to create a balance between the two opposing sides.
