A Stilista Shout-out

I went on a marathon shopping trip this past Saturday. What was supposed to be a standard 3-hour shopping trip, turned into a 6 and a 1/2 hour shopping marathon. My client was not only enjoying herself, but determined to get (almost) everything on her shopping list. With no other plans that day, I gladly accomodated her. However, I won't take all of the credit. I never would have lasted as long as I did and helped her find as much clothing and accessories as she did if I didn't have the help of some fabulous sales associates.

Because of that, I decided to take the time this week to give a shout-out to some of my favorite Boston-based sales associates.

1. Tavis Buckley - J Crew, COpley Plaza
Tavis is a personal shopper at J Crew in Copley Plaza. She is soft-spoken and pleasant and is always at our fitting room door when we are in need of a different size, different color or recommendation. Additionally, she will always make that extra effort by holding clothing multiple days in advance or helping my clients order items from the website or catalog that are not available in the store. As a result, I always work with her whenever I have a female client who works in a business casual environment. 2. Tyler Collins - J Crew, Copley Plaza
Tyler is a sales associate at J Crew in Copley Plaza. Tyler has a fun personality and a strong sense of syle. He takes risk with his fashion sense and loves to layer different textures, patterns and colors while still giving honest and believeable advice to even the most fashion-timid male client of mine. He has personally owned almost every item in the men's section and - as a result - can give real-world advice on wear-ability, durability and sizing.

3. Amanda - Brooks Brothers, Newbury St.
I worked with Amanda for the first time this past Saturday and, boy, did I put her to work. She ran around looking for different sizes, cuts and colors for my client for almost two hours straight. She remained pleasant, positive and helpful the entire time. I will most definitely look for her again!

4. Reese - Saks Fifth Avenue, Prudential Center Mall
Reese is a breath of fresh air at Saks. I am always disappointed when I don't find her on duty. Her cheerful greeting is always appreciated - especially in the third hour of shopping - and
her determination to help me find my clients the perfect pair of jeans is unparalleled by any other associate in the Contemporary section. She is currently pregnant and I worry that very
shortly I will have do without her while she takes her maternity leave!

Thanks to Tavis, Tyler, Amanda, Reese - and to all of the other sales associates in the Boston area whose names I don't know yet. I couldn't do it without you!
