There is a new store on Newbury St. and I am very excited about its arrival.

All Saints Spitalfields has set up shop in the former Pottery Barn space. This British label produces clothing, footwear and accessories for both men and women.

They produce a kind of poor man's Maison Martin Margiela meets Rick Owens meets Ann Demeulemeester. Their color palette consists of mainly neutrals - mostly greys and antiqued creams and dull browns - with the occassional pattern of muted colors.

All of the fabrics and textiles are heavily distressed and professionally treated to look as though they have been worn and weathered. These fabrics and textiles are then expertly pieced together to create unique, assymetrical items with a heavy emphasis on draping and layering.

Stand-out pieces with eye-catching patterns or intricate details such as heavy beading or layers of sequins pepper the store.

And don't forget about the accessories! The shoes, jewelry, bags and belts are also heavily distressed and have a rocker-chic vibe which is undeniably alluring.

Want to check it out for yourself? Head to the block of Newbury between the cross streets of Clarendon and Dartmouth. You won't be able to miss it. There's is the window filled with seemingly infinite rows of Singer sewing macines.
