Look who "got seen" at the New Year/New You MSPCA benefit at Emerge that Stilista was a part of!

I was totally flattered to appear in one of my favorite Stuff features!  They are one of the first local magazines that started highlighting fashionable people around the city!

This photo is a great chance for me to remark on one of my stylist tricks- a digital camera!   Sometimes your view can be distorted in your bedroom mirror and you can't get a completely unbiased look at your outfit.  I love bringing a digital camera along with me on shopping trips or closet evaluations and take pictures of my clients in different outfits.  Many times you will see different proportions and details in the camera that don't show up in the mirror.  In my case, after viewing this now public photo, I am  positive that I should have worn a stronger statement necklace with my outfit instead of the delicate chain that I had put on that night.  I had so many things going on with my dress and belt and bag, that I needed to ground the open space around my neck.  I also (embarrassing!) really needed some hairstyling that night.

So, next time you need some help with your outfit, snap a digital photo and check yourself out.  You will be sure to notice what's right and what's wrong right away!
