Stripe it up

It seems everytime I show a client anything in stripes, I am met with a look of shock followed by, " I heard stripes make you look fat". Yes, I am aware of the myth but my belief is it's not the stripes fault!! The variety this look offers make it apealling for a woman of any size. If you are large on top I would suggest stripes diaganally (see top) or vertical. If you want more attention to your top than bottom choose a stripe with a boatneck or cowl neckline. If you are thick in the middle stay away from horizontal stripes across that area. Depending on your built there are a variety of stripe widths to choose from.

Above are different looks you can achieve with stripes. Basically, every store is carrying something in stripes. I am especially seeing black and white striped miniskirts everywhere! (LOVE IT!!) :)

Some stores carrying a basic variety of stripes apparel is  Target , H&M, Forever21. If you are looking for something of better quality and more variety in the size, width and colors of the stripes, I recommend  Anthropologie, JCrew and Bloomingdales.

Always remember a Stilista stylist is always available to help you!
