Groove is In the Heart!

Stilista has been kickin’ it DJ-style lately with the gentlemen from GrooveBoston- the Pioneers of the Mobile Club!  Bobby, Ed, “Hamma” and Ben booked a Stilista|Lux trip to upgrade their DJ style from basic black to Urban Bright!  We spent a Friday evening with the rock-star DJ’s trying on everything from leather hoodies to neon shoelaces.

We found tons of staples at Urban Outfitters, H&M and American Apparel; and stopped by some boutique stores on Newbury street like Karmaloop- which fyi has a way better selection of clothing online.  Since then we have scoured the city and found even more amazing DJ/rock/hiphop stores like Blvd, Concepts, Bodega, AWOL (in Allston), and Brooklyn Industries (which is opening on Newbury St  this year).

GrooveBoston debuted their new looks at their next gig, the Tufts Winter Bash and Stilista was lucky enough to be on the VIP list to check out the scene.  Let me tell you, we were BLOWN away!  The production is HUGE!  These guys really know how to put on a party.  They transformed the Sheraton Copley ballroom into a huge dance club complete with scaffolding, video, light sequences, and killer beats!  The crowd couldn’t get enough and danced non-stop for hours while the GrooveBoston guy’s rocked the turntables in bright shirts, printed hoodies and neon sunglasses.

We are so excited to keep tabs on GrooveBoston as they are a DJ force to be reckoned with that will elevate Boston’s party scene to a new level!  Now that they are outfitted by Stilista to have some extra oomph to their style, we can’t wait to see where they will go!
