As a former makeup artist, people are constantly asking me for makeup tips. One of the best ones – and the one that is by far the most overlooked – is to remember your blush! Women obsess over eye makeup and finding the right lipstick shade, but no one ever asks about cheek color. Cheek color is the one thing that can instantly make you look fresh and healthy! But for some reason, most women apply it in the morning, and then forget about all day. The lipstick gets reapplied, but not the blush. And I understand – it’s kind of a hassle, the blush breaks up when it bangs around in your bag, and the oversized blush brush doesn’t always fit. But there is a better solution!
A fellow makeup artist recently introduced me to Stila’s Cherry Crush cheek and lip stain. We both worked for Stila cosmetics, so we are naturally partial to their products, and I knew I would probably like it. But this product far exceeded all of my expectations. I was immediately impressed by the rosy, just-came-in-from-the-cold flush that it produced. What blew me away, however, was its longevity. I fully expected to have to reapply after lunch, but no – the rosy glow was still there! After a full day at work and ride home on the bus….still there! I was officially hooked. Application is a cinch – it comes in Stila’s patented brush-on tube. Just dab a bit onto the apples of your cheeks and gently blend with your finger. It’s easy to toss in your purse and carry, too, but trust me, you won’t need it.
Stila has also added a new color, Mango Crush, which I have not tried yet, but am very excited about! This shade imparts a more peachy, warm glow that works great with a summer tan (from a tube ladies, remember, we don’t want to end up looking like a leather handbag).
