Sandal season is upon us – which, unfortunately, means seeing lots of rubber flip-flops on the feet of otherwise stylish women. I hear you, ladies – it’s just not practical to schlep around town in your Louboutins – but there is a whole wide world of footwear out there that combines comfort and cuteness. Here are some of my picks for summer 2009…
First up: Elie Tahari metallic thong. Comfortable and super elegant – there’s nice detailing on the leather uppers, and the metallic coloring is practically a neutral.
Next is another pair of flats – these are by Stuart Weitzman. I love how delicate they are, and the back-strap prevents accidental loss… great little pop of color, too!
And last but not least – a cork wedge from Michael Kors. Wedges are great alternatives to heels, adding desired height without discomfort.
