Flat t-strap sandals are one of my favorite types of summer footwear. Since they are flat, you can wear them all day without any discomfort. Also, their sleek shape is flattering to all feet and legs, making feet look thin and narrow and lengthening the leg-line through the top of the foot. Finally, they move effortlessly from casual to evening wear. Thankfully, most shoe designers are in agreement with me and have thus created a large variety from which to choose. A few of my favorites are listed below:
1. Steve Madden’s Seeri sandal is the perfect example of a t-strap sandal done well. It is sleek and fits well and it comes in a rainbow of colors and a myriad of materials. And, perhaps most importantly, they are extremely reasonable – around $50. I own three pairs of them! 2. Frye – America’s favorite boot maker – has ventured into the world of sandals. Not surprisingly, they have done a great job and created some extremely fashionable sandals without sacrificing their signature style. Check out this pair on onlineshoes.com! They stuck to the simple t-strap formula but added a little bit of texture and interest with the attached gems – perfect for the urban cowgirl or city hippie who has to put away the boots in the heat of the summer, but doesn’t want to sacrifice her style. 3. Finally, since I so rarely tease you with items out of the common man’s – or woman’s – price range and because I love all things Stella McCartney, I must talk about the sandals pictured above. They are perfect. They stick to the classic t-strap shape, but Stella has created them in a hot pink linen topped off with a too-cute-for-words cherry embellishment. It just doesn’t get any better than that. Well, actually, if you happen to be vegan or vegetarian, it does!
