Handbags have always been my downfall. As a stylist, I preach to everyone about the importance of smart investment pieces. The handbag is one of the key pieces to tie a look together. Yet, I still find myself walking out the door with my tattered vintage purse with half-a-strap falling off. So, in an effort to get my act together, I have begun the hunt for my perfect handbag.
Here are my criteria:
Timeless and Hourless: I can only afford one bag so it has to go from day to night. I like to carry a lot of stuff around with me so it has to fit big things but also be delicate enough for night (maybe a fold up or collapsible bag?)
Versatile: I wear a variety of looks, so it has to go with all of them. I’ll need something that can handle all my styles. In one day I often find myself working from home and running errands, to meeting a client at an upscale location, to going to a rock n’roll show at night.
Stylish: I want a hands-free bag, I am partial to a chain strap that I can wear across my body so it doesn’t interfere with my hands.
Affordable: Ideally, I would love a Louis Vuitton or Botkier, but since my budget doesn’t allow it, I need something that exudes a similar timeless quality, but for less than $200
Here are some that sparked my interest (see links below). I am also going to check out LunaBoston as they have an excellent selection of handbags and accessories. Enter code luckybreaks12 for 25% site-wide at LunaBoston.com Enter code luckybreaks12 for 25% off site-wide at Luna Boston.com
