Nothing is worse than flyaway winter hair caused by warm, wool winter hats and sweaters. Here’s how to prevent that pesky sparked charge and also help to avoid “hat head”
- Make sure hair is deep conditioned and not dry. Moisturized hair is less likely to be affected by static
- Spray your hairbrush, comb or hat with anti-static spray (like Static Guard or hairspray)
- Avoid using hair products that dry out your hair with alcohol or sodium lauryl sulfate- try looking in the organic aisle for products with more natural, moisturizing ingredients
